How do I participate
Through the active participation of many different stakeholders, the task force hopes to better understand the perspectives of ordinary Canadians.
You can participate in several ways:
1) Respond to our discussion paper
Currently, the Task Force is accepting responses to the discussion paper The Way We Pay: Transforming the Canadian Payments System. You are also welcomed to respond to Scenarios for the Future of the Canadian Payments System, the essential companion document, should you wish to.
Written responses received before September will be posted online. A series of questions have been included in the discussion paper to help provoke responses, though participants are welcome to address any aspect of our research.
Submissions from fall of 2010 have been posted online so that all Canadians can access them and read the reports.
You can also sign up for the email alert or to the RSS feed to be kept up-to-date on new and engaging ways to participate in this dialogue.
2) Join the conversation
The Task Force has offers multiple ways of participating. Sending us a written response is one way, or join the conversation on the Conversation Hub.
You can learn by watching a short video crash-course on the payment landscape in Canada, flip through some facts and questions we want you to think about, and then join the conversation on Twitter and Facebook.
3) Listen and learn
In September, 2010, the Task Force commissioned a report titled The Canadian Payments Landscape, which offers a holistic mapping of the current Canadian payments landscape, and is intended to serve as a common basis for discussion and collaboration.
The report is available in full as a downloadable PDF document. Participants may also like to review the Executive Summary for a more condensed overview of the report.
