The Way We Pay: Transforming the Canadian Payments System
The Task Force for the Payments System Review has released its discussion paper, The Way We Pay: Transforming the Canadian Payments System. Written responses received before September will be posted online.
At the end of each chapter are a number of questions to which participants are welcome to respond. But responses may address any aspect of our work. Participants may wish to make use of our Internet site featuring submissions from the first round of consultations and much of our research, as well as social media tools offering a choice of ways in which to become engaged in these issues.
Alongside The Way We Pay, the Task Force has also published Scenarios for the Future of the Canadian Payments System, an essential companion document, and the result of a stakeholder-led collaborative effort to describe four different but plausible scenarios that describe the payments system of tomorrow. Participants are welcome to respond to this work as well.
Want to know more about the payment system before responding? Submissions from the first round of consultations have been posted online. You might also like to consult our resource section.
